![]() ![]() There is something about it could simply be based on his experience with love, in the sense that he barely received it from his parents and also he was sexaully abused as minor by a celergyman, which ultimately manifested in a twisted reasoning behind how relationships should be treated. It really goes to show that our narrator did in fact want it but would end up sabotaging it. What made up for this had been the theme of love. So the timeline for that also felt off as I am assuming he was in his mid thirties when it was written and now he was in forties, essentially I was confused of the span of this book more than I thought I would be. Because it seemed as though this was written during the publication process of Diary of an Oxygen Thief. I felt that it was breaking the fourth wall more than what I had been anticipating. What had been difficult about this book would definitely be the timeline of this book. So it honestly led me to wonder how men outside of America act, more than anything because everything came back to him wanting to be in New York. The experience the narrator had with women spans not only experiences within America but also abroad, along with internalized notions of what he deemed to be ‘americanism’. It was graphic because it felt too real to be considered fiction. ![]() If people hated the first book because of graphic nature, then this one definitely took the cake between both works. If anything I felt more played because I could see how it is a continuation but at the same time not. Like it wasn’t good but it wasn’t bad either. It’s a no-holds-barred roller coaster that proves a twisted sense of humor can hide behind the most troubled souls.Ok, this one is definitely like a 3-3.5/5 book. ![]() This story exposes the brutality of emotional warfare and lays bare the raw nerves of human connections, or the lack thereof. 'Diary of an Oxygen Thief' is like a shot of whiskey - it burns, it intoxicates, and it leaves you yearning for another sip, even if it's poison. Through twisted irony, he becomes the very victim he once preyed upon. When our anti-hero meets his match in a woman who is just as emotionally conniving as he is, he finds himself spiraling down a rabbit hole of raw vulnerability and torment. Then enters a game-changer – a woman who flips the script. The narrator's own heart is a cryptic puzzle box, locked tight, hiding secrets that would even make Pandora shudder. From his boozy days in London, fraught with self-destruction, to his unsettling epiphanies in the streets of America, his journey is an insidious ballet of masochism and euphoria. His weapon of choice? A silver tongue that strikes with sweet words and leaves behind an asphyxiated wasteland of broken hearts.Īs you travel with the narrator through his relentless escapades, you're led into a maze of hedonism and emotional debauchery that’s eerily captivating. The unnamed protagonist, an Irish expat living in London and later moving to the USA, is a master of deception and emotional manipulation. Written as an confession by the nameless narrator, the book serves as an alarming revelation into the mind of a man on a diabolical quest to break hearts and reap pleasure from the anguish he inflicts. Feast your eyes on the confessions of an emotional serial killer! 'Diary of an Oxygen Thief,' by Anonymous, is a wickedly intoxicating blend of audacity, charm, and downright desolation. ![]() ![]() ![]() Employee scores are averaged to provide an organization-wide assessment of workplace culture: the Trust Index score. Survey answers are assessed on a five-point scale, revealing the most common experience of employees in the organization. High-trust cultures are shown in Great Place To Work research to outperform their competitors in recruitment and retention, productivity and innovation, and financial performance. These five dimensions create a workplace culture where employees feel empowered and encouraged to do their most meaningful work. The other two dimensions measure the workplace experience of employees in relation to their colleagues and the wider organization: pride and a sense of belonging. Three of the dimensions are connected to the actions of leaders and building trust: credibility, respect, and fairness. More specifically, the Great Place To Work Trust Index Survey measures individual employee experiences of five dimensions of a high-trust company culture through 60 statements and two open-ended questions. In other words: How often can employees count on something happening in their workplace, such as clear and honest leadership, fair treatment, and employee recognition? In broad terms, the Great Place To Work Trust Index™ Survey measures the level of trust in your organization and the consistency of the employee experience. Surveys must meet strict requirements for how they are distributed and the percentage of employees who respond to ensure they accurately represent feedback from the company’s full population. Companies that score above the current threshold become Great Place To Work Certified. Positive employee responses to the Trust Index Survey (four and above on the five-point scale) are averaged to provide an organization-wide assessment of culture: the Trust Index.
